Back-to-School Grants Program
Piper Trust’s Back-to-School Grants Program provides select Maricopa County schools with funding to meet essential clothing needs for vulnerable students. Supporting children’s back-to-school clothing needs can be transformative for students and provides them with a confident beginning to the school year—Piper Trust’s Trustees are dedicated to helping address this fundamental need. Since 2003, the Back-to-School Grants Program has provided more than $8.9 million to elementary schools throughout Maricopa County (and other related organizations) to support students in need of basic school clothing, underwear, and shoes.
Notice: Special adjustments for 2021-22 Back-to-School Grants Payments (for existing district/school grantees): Piper Trust has removed some restrictions on the grant payment this year (2021-22) to help offset challenges due to the pandemic. Schools may use these funds to purchase resources that support education access for students in need. Examples include hygiene products, technology products and services, school clothes, etc. Piper Trust’s Board of Trustees hope that these funds will to help reduce educational barriers that students may experience.
