Children thrive in strong, supported families. Supporting child well-being and nurturing the social and emotional development of children builds a foundation for strong communities and a vibrant society.


GRANTMAKING FOCUS

  • Access to protective factors – strategies that embrace and support struggling parents and ensure family success.
  • Access to quality childcare and after-school programs; and youth development programs that focus on inclusion and belonging.
  • Access to unique programs and services that address developmental delays or disabilities; or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).

EXAMPLES

Piper Trust’s Back-to-School Grants Program provides funding to select elementary schools in Maricopa County to support vulnerable students with clothing and other essentials to start the school year.

Support for Together for Arizona, a statewide collective impact focused on strengthening the systems of care for struggling families and advancing the provision of protective factors.

Grant support for one•n•ten youth centers, which embrace and support LGBTQ children and young people and provide youth development strategies that are tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ youth.

Grant support for Arizona Autism United’s county-wide expansion. The development of new satellite clinics expand access to early intervention, occupational therapy, and behavioral health and family supports.
