How To Apply
2026 Piper Fellows Applications are closed.
The Piper Fellows Application Process will be conducted in two Phases as follows:
Phase 1
Submit Phase 1 Application, Organization Endorsement, and Resume.
Phase 2
The top qualifying applicants will be invited to submit the Phase 2 Application which consists of providing more detail and budget information on the proposed Fellowship plan ($30,000 grant), proposed plan and budget for the Board/Staff component of the Piper Fellowship ($10,000), and overall outcome intentions.
Application/Selection Timeline

Deadline for receipt of Piper Fellows Phase 1 Applications via online portal.
Week of July 6
Applicants moving to Phase 2 are notified.
July 31
Deadline for receipt of Piper Fellows Phase 2 Applications via online portal.
August – October
Selection Committee Process: Application Reviews/Finalist Interviews
November

APPLICATION PROCESS
- Review eligibility requirements prior to applying
- Access the Piper Trust portal to apply.
- Create a new account or sign in. You will need to provide your email address and your organization’s Tax ID/EIN.
- Complete the Piper Fellows Application inside of the portal.
- Find additional application resources.
SELECTION PROCESS
The Selection Committee is comprised of Maricopa County leaders who are knowledgeable about the value and contributions of the nonprofit profit sector. The Committee reviews the applications, conducts interviews, and makes its recommendations to Piper Trust’s Board of Trustees for final selection.
