Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Welcomes New Staff Members
PHOENIX, Ariz.—Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust is pleased to welcome four new staff members and share some updates about its finance team.
Carey Chambers, Chief Financial Officer Carey Chambers oversees accounting and tax compliance for Piper Trust. She is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience in financial statement audit, audit of internal control, performance improvement advisory, and due diligence. Formerly, Chambers held leadership positions for 15 years at KPMG’s Phoenix office, most recently as managing director. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Foundation Financial Officers Group. She serves on Northern Arizona University’s accounting department advisory board. |

Tim Wilmot, Ph.D., Director of Strategic Learning Tim Wilmot is responsible for Piper Trust’s new learning and knowledge management agenda and guides research and evaluation-oriented activities. Wilmot formerly served as a research and evaluation director at the San Antonio Area Foundation, the Marin Community Foundation, and the Charles & Helen Schwab Foundation; he was also a knowledge management consultant for Ernst & Young, LLP. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Eckerd College. |

Krista Ivey, Assistant Controller Krista Ivey supports many areas of Piper Trust’s accounting including accounts payable, grant payment, payroll processing, and assisting with audit and tax functions. Most recently she served as a controller for Valley of the Sun United Way. Ivey has extensive leadership experience in accounting for the nonprofit sector and more than 10 years of experience working in the private sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration; she is a member of the Foundation Financial Officers Group. |

Linda Smith, Board and Executive Assistant Linda Smith supports Piper Trust’s Board of Trustees, president and CEO, executive vice president, and CFO. Prior to joining the Trust, Smith worked for PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. as a consultant to Valley Metro Rail on the $358 million Northwest Extension to the Phoenix Light Rail system. She was also a former 911 Operator for the Phoenix Police Department. Smith began her career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Boston; over the past 20+ years she has supported executives in Phoenix and Washington, D.C. |

Diane Prindiville, Controller Diane Prindiville joined Piper Trust in 2014 and was recently promoted to controller; she maintains the Trust’s accounting records and administers banking, cash flow, and investment activities. She has worked in various management positions with nonprofits and corporate entities throughout the Phoenix area. Prindiville holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Notre Dame. She is a member of the Foundation Financial Officers Group. |

Mary Jane Rynd, Executive Vice President Mary Jane Rynd has been an officer of Piper Trust since 2001. Rynd remains executive vice president and oversees finance, investments, and operations. She serves on the board of the Foundation Financial Officers Group. |
